the protagonist tom sawyer is a naughty child. he can always come up with all kinds of mischief, which makes aunt polly helpless, and he can always find ways to avoid punishment.

tom did not flinch and fear when he met the murderer, but bravely faced up to him, and finally defeated the enemy. when he was trapped in the cave, he did not fear, and finally walked out of the cave with strong perseverance. although tom is mischievous, he is brave, strong and caring for others. this spirit is worth learning.

?老人与海》讲述了一个老人捕鱼的故事。这个老人独自摇着小船在墨西哥湾的暖流里打鱼。已经八十四天了，他什么也没得到，连一条小鱼也没钓到。前四十天里，有个男孩和他一起钓鱼，帮助他，可他们还是天天空手而归，于是，小男孩的父母就不再让她跟着老爷爷了。第八十五天，老人把船划出去好远，他幸运的遇到一条大鱼。老人钩住了这条大鱼，却被大鱼带出去好远，不但要拉住绳子，还是提防它沉下去。最后，老人终于把这条大鱼抓住了。可是，老人在回来的途中，遇到了很多的不幸，他一而再，再而三地遇到鲨鱼，他一一地与它们做斗争，那些鲨鱼都被他杀死了，可是，大鱼也被吃掉了一半。最后，一大圈鲨鱼朝他游来，老人使出浑身解数和鲨鱼搏斗，鲨鱼把能吃的肉都吃完了，连头上也不剩一点肉，干干净净的。结果老人拖回去的只是一副大鱼骨架。但老人没有遗憾。

accidentally, i found a collection of stories by maupassant on the bookshelf, and finished reading one of the short stories "the necklace" with a relaxed attitude of killing time.

"the necklace" is about the wife mathilde of the ministry of education staff luerse. in order to attend the party held by the minister of education, she used the 400 francs her husband was going to buy the shotgun to buy clothes, and borrowed a necklace from her girlfriend. at the party, her beauty was so outstanding that all the male guests looked at her with fascination. she felt satisfied with this as a "success". when she got home, she took off her clothes to find that the necklace was missing. the couple was shocked and had to compensate for the loss. finally, they bought an identical diamond necklace worth 36,000 francs in the jewelry store and gave it to their girlfriend. it took the couple 10 years to pay off the debt.

the climax of the story comes at the end, ten years later, when mathilde meets her girlfriend and learns that the necklace she lent her is a fake.

after reading the whole story, my first feeling is inconceivable, fate is really a trick on people, life is really unpredictable!

mathilde quietly determined to choose a full of thorns of the road of life, through the wind, through the rain, through yesterday, through today, through tomorrow. she changed, poor life temper, not only changed her appearance, more important is to change her spirit. hard work and life pulled her unrealistic fantasy from the clouds back to the solid ground, and now there was a new mathilde.

although mathilde is unfortunate, her misfortune is that she cant get what she wants and increase her annoyance in vain, at the same time, she is lucky, the cruel reality makes her sober.

after reading this novel, i feel that life is not a fantasy in the clouds, but more down-to-earth step by step.

this story is gripping and also a little scary.it is tragic and sobering.the plot is both unexpected and reasonable.although old mr white’s friend had warned him,but he didn’t listen.at last it became a tragedy.what caused all this?it’s obvious that the mr white’s greed. he wanted to get the money with no pay,but that is impossible in this world.i’m afraid he’ll live out the rest of his life in regret. the three men who used the monkey’s paw all paid an irreparable price for their greed.

this short novel tells us a lesson that we can’t daydream.waiting for money and success comes with no pay is stupid and not realistic.we should work and study harder.chase the treasure on your own without regret or sadness.

第一，教学目标的设置更为明确。我在实际教学中曾出现教学达不到预设目标的情况，而在读过本书后这一困扰便随之清除。第二，教学重点把握更为准确。小学英语教学主要以培养学生的学习兴趣及学习自信为主，注重语言的运用能力而并非是让学生们会做题目。第三，教学形式更灵活多样。在这一课程标准下老师讲学生听的传统式课堂完全不能满足当前的英语教学要求。于是，我便采取更多灵活的课堂组织方式，如小组讨论、表演展示、知识竞答等，既调动了学生学习的积极性，又活跃了课堂气氛，还培养了学生自主学习的能力。第四，教学评价更完善。在新课标的指导下，我改变了以前以分数论英雄的评价模式，从更多的角度去评价学生的学习行为。

看完这本书，我也更清楚地知道一名优秀的小学英语教师应该具备良好的心理素质、语言素质、文化素质、理论素质、驾驭教材的'素质、教学实践素质和技术素质。教师是主导,学生是主体。但一切教学目标和任务的完成毕竟要通过学生实现。因此，教师的主导作用只有根据学生主体的心理特征和内在需求，因材施教，根据小学英语课堂具体情况，创造出学生最满意、收效最好的教法和技巧。
