我们来到莲石湖公园后，穿上志愿者的服装，带上手套准备开工。我们沿着小路到了湖边，湖边的垃圾湿漉漉的，有黑乎乎的垃圾袋；有腐烂的烟头；有湿漉漉的废纸；还有一些小纸片……看着都很脏。同学们并不觉得垃圾脏，拿着夹子和垃圾袋冲上去抢着捡。我想：“管它脏不脏，只要能美化环境就行！”于是，我一手拿着垃圾袋，一手拿着夹子，一夹就是一个的捡起来。湖边的垃圾终于被清理完毕了，看着整洁的环境，美丽的风景，我们心里美滋滋的。

我们又把阵地转移到了行人便道上。路上的垃圾比湖边的还要多好多倍，什么烟头啊、纸巾啊……到处都是。我还阻止过几位叔叔吸烟。我跟准备吸烟的叔叔说：“叔叔，请您不要在这里吸烟，那边有吸烟处，您可以到那里去吸烟。”叔叔对我笑了笑说：“小伙子，谢谢你提醒我。”

当我走了不到一半的路程时，我忽然放下垃圾袋说：“太累了，我不干了！”爸爸却对我说：“这么快就累了？你要为自己加油，你看那些保洁阿姨，每天都要来打扫卫生，她们怎么从来都不喊累呢？”我沉思了一小会儿，觉得爸爸的话很有道理。于是，我捡起扔掉的垃圾袋，又重新捡起了垃圾。
